Things to do in the Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks

Winter in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is a magical time. Tours of Yellowstone are available by snowmobile or snow coach, and Grand Teton National Park is open for driving tours. The wildlife move into the valleys to avoid the snowy mountains making sighting common. Beyond the National Parks there are many activities and adventures to keep you busy. During the snowy, winter months, the only way to access Yellowstone National Park is by either snowcoach or snowmobile. Entering America's oldest National Park during the winter is a spectacular event. You'll get to see the Park's wildlife in their struggle for survival against the elements, as well as the striking contrast between the warmth of the geysers and thermal features against the frigid cold of the surrounding environment.
